Works
Over the years, my work has evolved around how technology shapes our relationship with one another, with our environment and how identity is formed through these interactions. As AI becomes an increasingly significant part of everyday life, exploring it and the changes it causes has become a central question in my research-based practice.
Working across photography, AI, archives, installation and painting, I follow how technologies reshape memory, identity, perception and representation. The cloud map connects these recurring questions across distinct bodies of work, organized into five thematic groups: Archives, Human and Machine Memory; Bodies, Screens and Relational Identity; Machine Vision, Self-Representation and Power; Landscape and Technological Translation; and Systems, Interfaces and Opacity.
The works can also be browsed chronologically in the Work Index below.
Archives, Human and Machine Memory
The family album, displacement and technological memory become unstable archives where personal history is reconstructed, inherited or lost.
Family Portraits 2017–2019
Connected devices occupy the conventions of family portraiture, revealing technological dependence within domestic intimacy.
Imagined Images 2021- 2023
A historically early AI reconstruction of a missing family photo album, examining migration, inherited memory and synthetic remembrance.
Model Collapse 2025
Family archives, dementia and generative-AI degradation meet in a study of memory’s human and computational deterioration.
Afterimages 2025
An arc from the very first AI-generated images toward their possible endpoint, where recursive training on synthetic outputs produces visual residues.
An Index of Latent Space 2026
A custom-coded AI system drifts without a prompt through latent space, exposing the images that trained it as they are understood through the AI’s own lens.
Bodies, Screens & Relational Identity
Bodies and identities are performed, divided and reorganized through screens, social platforms and connected devices.
Liquid Identity 2013
Blurred passport photographs conceal identity, classifying individual faces into categories of physical resemblance and exploring the tension between anonymity and personal uniqueness.
Tears, Spit & Cum 2019
Bodily fluids mark what cannot pass through the screen, separating physical intimacy from its digital projection.
8,5 Faces 2020
A fractured online self is staged through multiple profiles, social-media personas and the continuous curation of identity.
Family Portraits 2017-2019
Connected devices occupy the conventions of family portraiture, revealing technological dependence within domestic intimacy.
A Self-Portrait of an Algorithm 2023
One hundred AI-generated self-portraits ask how an algorithm might picture itself, extending portraiture toward machine creativity, identity and the possibility of sentience.
In Their Own Image 2022
Industrial structures become Technototems by exploiting the human brain’s face recognition function, exploring creativity and shifting relations of power between humans and machines.
Machine Vision, Self-Representation & Power
These works move between what machines see, how they picture themselves and the hierarchies formed between creator, tool and image.
Image Eaters 2020
Algorithms consume images and reorganize what becomes visible, shaping us while we continue to shape them.
8,5 Faces 2020
A fractured online self is staged through multiple profiles, social-media personas and the continuous curation of identity.
In Their Own Image 2022
Industrial structures become Technototems by exploiting the human brain’s face recognition function, exploring creativity as a divine force and shifting relations of power between humans and machines.
A Self-Portrait of an Algorithm 2022-2023
One hundred AI-generated self-portraits ask how an algorithm might picture itself, extending portraiture toward machine creativity, identity and the possibility of sentience.
The Sleight of the Machine 2025
A short film turning AI’s limitations into a self-referential spectacle while concealing the systems of labor and power behind its apparent autonomy.
Landscape & Technological Translation
Physical landscapes become psychological states, imagined islands, scanned environments and records of ecological instability.
Inner State 2014-2016
Fog, unfinished structures and empty roads turn Greek landscapes into a projection of the inner state of its inhabitants during the time of crisis.
Typology of Waiting 2020
Loading symbols become painted forms, giving digital waiting a physical body and tracing the opacity of technological systems.
A Thousand Ithacas 2020
An archive of island photographs trains a GAN to generate an endless stream of nonexistent destinations, used as metaphors for our attention economy.
A Hollow Garden 2021
An exploration of how physical forms are translated into the digital realm through 3D scanning, questioning what is preserved and what is lost in the process.
Ecologies of Noise 2025-2026
Images of endangered landscapes are fed into a recursive AI feedback loop, linking AI’s effects on visual culture with technology’s environmental impact and exposing the system’s attractor state.
Systems, Interfaces & Opacity
Structures, interfaces and repeated signs make complex systems visible while keeping their inner workings partly out of reach.
Geometry of Chaos 2014
Repeated units form larger structures, moving between order/disorder and the construction of a microcosm/macrocosm.
Typology of Waiting 2020
Loading symbols become painted forms, giving digital waiting a physical body and tracing the opacity of technological systems.
Image Eaters 2020
Algorithms consume images and reorganize what becomes visible, shaping us while we continue to shape them.
The Desire for Consciousness
Symbolic images move through mysticism, the construct of consciousness and the desire to locate awareness beyond the human body.
The Sleight of the Machine 2025
A short film turning AI’s limitations into a self-referential spectacle while concealing the systems of labor and power behind its apparent autonomy.
Ecologies of Noise 2025-2026
Images of endangered landscapes are fed into a recursive AI feedback loop, linking AI’s effects on visual culture with technology’s environmental impact and exposing the system’s attractor state.
